2019 Renewable Energy Law Conference

Monday, January 28, 2019
2:20 p.m. - 3:05 p.m. CDT
AT&T Conference Center | Austin, TX

Environment & Land Use Partner Brooke Wahlberg will serve as a panelist at this annual event alongside leading attorneys and industry experts in wind, solar, and storage for two days of the latest developments affecting renewable energy in Texas and nationwide.  Ms. Wahlberg’s presentation is entitled “Endangered Species and Wildlife – Mitigation as Risk Management,” and will focus on the issue that endangered species and protected habitat areas can present risks to renewable projects, including potential impacts to project timing and costs.  Purchasing mitigation land is one tool that can be used to manage risk in both the solar and wind energy context.

The Renewable Energy Law Conference blends law, economics, technology, finance, tax, and regulatory policy, and is aimed at industry participants, legal and financial advisors, and key legislative and regulatory policymakers and staff.  It is presented by The University of Texas School of Law and The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (OGERL).  For more information and to register, click here.
