San Francisco Attorney magazine quoted Nossaman Partner Clothilde Hewlett in the article "49ers + School-To-College = A Partnership for Success."  The article highlights the San Francisco 49ers' support of the Bar Association of San Francisco's (BASF) college-readiness program for at risk students.  Ms. Hewlett, a member of BASF and the 49ers Foundation board, is quoted about 49er-owners Denise and John York's dedication and the importance of the program to the community.

"Providing educational opportunities for low-income youth is possibly more of the Yorks' passion than football!" she says.  "The only way to combat [poverty, crime, and violence] is education.  We can break the cycle, not only for students but for their entire families. If one can make it, it's not just about one person but an entire family and the next generation."

Ms. Hewlett continues: "At the end of our lives, we can't take billable hours with us!  Our true calling in this world is what are we doing for other people, and this is something the Yorks have instilled in their inner beings."
