Infrastructure Partners Andrée Blais and Elizabeth Cousins Recognized In LABJ's Most Influential Women Lawyers Supplement

Infrastructure Practice Group Partners Andrée Blais and Elizabeth Cousins were recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) in its 2018 Most Influential Women Lawyers " supplement.  The supplement highlighted 75 of the region’s particularly stellar women attorneys who are based in Los Angeles, demonstrated exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility and worked on high profile matters over the past year.

In the supplement, the LABJ highlighted Ms. Blais’ work on the $5 billion City of Los Angeles/Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) at LAX. The program will ease access into and out of LAX through development of an elevated 2.25 mile Automated People Mover (APM) train that will connect travelers to LA Metro’s Crenshaw Light Rail Line, intermodal transportation facilities and a consolidated rental car center. The APM portion of this project reached commercial close in April of 2018.   

In its profile of Ms. Cousins, the LABJ noted her work on a number of high profile and innovative projects over the past several years. These projects included the Michigan Department of Transportation’s $600 million I-75 Modernization project; the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Phoenix Metropolitan Area Freeway Lighting project—which seeks to upgrade more than 19,000 luminaries to LED technology; and the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) I-15 Hot Lanes project—a $425 million-$450 million upgrade that will add toll lanes along a portion of the heavily traveled I-15 in Riverside, California.
