Infrastructure Partners Nancy Smith and Yukiko Kojima Recognized In LABJ's Most Influential Women Lawyers Supplement

Nancy Smith, Partner and Co-Founder of Nossaman’s Infrastructure Practice Group and Yukiko Kojima, a Partner in the Infrastructure Practice Group, were recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) in its Most Influential Women Lawyers " supplement.  The supplement highlighted 50 of the region’s most stellar women attorneys who are based in Los Angeles and  have worked on high profile matters over the past year.

The LABJ highlighted Ms. Smith’s work on the $2 billion Maryland Department of Transportation/Maryland Transit Administration Purple Line Light Rail System, which reached  commercial and financial close in 2016 and  will increase mobility between the Maryland suburbs and Washington, D.C.; and the approximately $500 million  Metro Goldline Foothill Extension Project, which opened its 11.3 mile extension in the San Gabriel Valley in March 2016. The paper noted that Ms. Smith’s projects will have a profound impact on transportation in a number of critical regions, including Los Angeles and Orange County.

Regarding Ms. Kojima, the LABJ noted her work on some of the largest, most innovative and significant P3 projects in California, the US and Canada and provided an overview of her recent work on the $1.3 billion UC Merced 2020 Campus Expansion Project—which reached commercial and financial close in 2016-- and the $500 million Denver International Airport Great Hall Project. The article on her work stated that both projects will fundamentally reshape the cities and regions in which they are located. Ms. Kojima’s work on the $2.3 billion I-4 Ultimate Managed Lanes Project in Florida  was also mentioned.
