The women in Nossaman’s Infrastructure Group were highlighted in an article in the January issue of Public Works Financing titled Women Anchor Nossaman’s Deep Bench On P3/DB. The article goes on to report that 12 of the 31 lawyers in Nossaman’s Infrastructure Group are women, with nine of them serving as partner. In the article,  Patrick Harder, the Chair of the Infrastructure practice, credits Partner Nancy Smith, a co-founder of the practice, with helping draw women to Nossaman and keeping them [here]. Additionally, Mr. Harder notes that in the infrastructure field, there is an abundance of top flight  women lawyers, engineers, finance experts and administrators that have risen to the top of public transportation agencies, and many are involved in leading innovative deals. Finally, Mr. Harder says that many of the attorneys at Nossaman greatly benefit from the creativity of the smart women [in the practice].  The article notes that women partners in the group are advising on  P3 procurements worth more than $4 billion, such as the Los Angeles World Airports people mover procurement, which Partner Andree Blais is advising on; the Denver International Great Hall project, which Partner Yukiko Kojima  is advising on, and which reached financial close in December of 2017; the MBTA Green Line design-build contract, which partner Ann-Therese Schmid is advising on; and the Michigan DOT streetlight project, which Partner Elizabeth Cousins is advising on.
