Allison Dibley is a litigator focusing on complex litigation matters. She has 15 years of experience litigating matters in state and federal courts, representing clients in antitrust litigation, contract disputes, intellectual property disputes (trademark and copyright infringement matters), and healthcare matters.

Ms. Dibley also specializes in California employment law, and has represented her employer clients in all areas of employment litigation including discrimination, retaliation and harassment lawsuits, claims filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, wage and hour class action litigation, and labor arbitration hearings.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Dibley had a career as a concert flutist.

Representative Work

Complex Litigation

  • Currently representing a global manufacturer of TFT-LCD products in an international antitrust action in the United States, the European Union, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Canada. The domestic litigation includes 143 consolidated civil class actions, and a criminal action brought by the United States Department of Justice. Ms. Dibley is responsible for all matters involving e-discovery and electronic document review.
  • Represented a registered investment advisor in an SEC enforcement investigation and in the SEC's subsequent civil enforcement action filed in the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island.
  • Represented a healthcare provider in a representative action brought under California Business and Professions Code section 17200 against claims of unlawful and fraudulent business practices.

Employment and Other Matters

  • Healthcare Matters. Successfully represented hospitals in hearings for court orders permitting physicians to treat patients.
  • ERISA-related claims. Successfully defended national insurance companies against claims brought under ERISA for wrongful denial and wrongful termination of disability benefits.
  • Wage and hour lawsuits. Represented large retailers in lawsuits involving claims for failure to provide meal and rest breaks, and failure to pay for work performed off the clock.
  • Discrimination lawsuits.
    • Won summary judgment on behalf of a school district in a lawsuit involving claims of race, age, and disability discrimination and harassment. Decision was upheld on appeal.
    • Won summary judgment on behalf of a local bank in a lawsuit involving race discrimination and harassment claims.
