Comments made by Nossaman Partner Dick Ackerman were used in the
Daily Journal article "Chief Justice Will Retire After Transformative Tenure." Mr. Ackerman, a former state legislator, commented on the Chief Justice's "ability to deftly navigate the politics that came with the job" by stating, "Shortly after becoming chief justice, George made a point of visiting each of the 58 counties in the state, which earned him a lot of goodwill, especially with judges in the smaller counties."
