Nossaman Partner Geoffrey Yarema was quoted in the InfraAmericas article "Congress Urged to Reform Surface Transportation Funding." The article discusses a joint statement signed by members of the National Surface Transportation Infrastructure Financing Commission and National Transportation Policy Project of the Bipartisan Policy Center that advises Congress to take steps toward several transportation policy principles designed to help guide deliberations over how to extend, fund and improve the federal surface transportation program in the face of dire fiscal realities.  The story also talks about President Obama's proposal for a National Infrastructure Bank (NIB).

Mr. Yarema is quoted in the article saying, "The Infrastructure bank might be a valuable new tool but there are many questions about it that have not yet been answered. In the course of that discussion it is critical that we not overlook the bank we already have - TIFIA. Right now it has never been more valuable, yet demand is far outstripping credit supply. We are in effect starving it when it can do the most good."
