Nossaman Partner Geoffrey Yarema was quoted in the BNA Daily Report for Executives special report on infrastructure article "Debt Deal, Shrinking Revenues Have States Looking to Private Sources for Infrastructure."

Mr. Yarema, chair of Nossaman's Infrastructure Practice Group, discussed the success of recent public-private partnership (P3) projects in the U.S. "'In the last four to five years we have had some spectacular successes' with public-private partnerships, particularly in Texas and Florida."

He continued: "For the right project, P3 will be a valuable tool, the value proposition might be more obvious in a capital scarce environment."

"There has been a trend for some time now with states putting more tools in their toolbox," he said of the growing trend among states to consider and pass P3 authorizing legislation. But he urged caution. "The fact that legislation is passed does not evidence deal flow."
