Farschad Farzan is a member of Nossaman's Litigation Department with over ten years of hands-on litigation experience. Based in San Francisco, Mr. Farzan's practice focuses on complex class action, antitrust, intellectual property, and commercial litigation matters.
He has defended clients in various antitrust matters including Sherman Act nationwide class actions and conducted international cartel investigations as well as investigations regarding potential or alleged anti-competitive practices.
Mr. Farzan has experience in all phases of the litigation process in both state and federal court including, pre-litigation investigation and advice, discovery including eDiscovery, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, settlement, trial, and appeal.

Represented plaintiff in a cost recovery action under CERCLA and RCRA involving perchlorate contamination of water supply, which action involved more than 30 parties.
Represented global social networking service and website with issues under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and Stored Communications Act.
Defended multinational internet and software corporation in putative nationwide consumer class actions regarding alleged privacy violations. Successfully negotiated favorable settlements with government agencies and private parties.
Defended wireless telephone provider in multiple putative nationwide consumer class actions relating to universal fee charges. Successfully negotiated dismissals of actions.
Defended multinational telecommunications corporation in multiple putative nationwide consumer class actions regarding alleged charges related to phone cards. Successfully negotiated favorable settlements.
Defended national sports association in two separate putative nationwide class actions relating to alleged violations of the Sherman Act. Defeated class certification in one matter and successfully negotiated settlement of the other.
Defended one of the largest owners and operators of apartment communities in the United States in putative statewide class action regarding alleged violations of building and housing codes.
Defended online television provider in nationwide consumer class action related to representations about service.
Defended multinational internet and software corporation in putative nationwide consumer class action regarding alleged overcharges for online advertising. Successfully negotiated favorable settlement.
Successfully defended Japanese manufacturer of materials used to encapsulate integrated circuit packages. Plaintiffs alleged the materials were defective and caused over $1 billion in damages to hard disk drives used in computers and other products.
Successfully defended newspaper company in a wage-hour putative class action involving over two dozen newspapers and alleged a class of 5000+ independent contractor delivery service providers. Defeated class certification.
