Infrastructure Group Again Profiled as a "Project Finance Practice Group of the Year"

Nossaman's Infrastructure Group was once again profiled in Law360 as a result of being named a "Project Finance Practice Group of the Year" for 2019 - the Group has been named a "Practice Group of the Year" in this sector three out of the last four years. The article (paid subscription required) highlights the Group’s efforts over the last year working with public agencies on projects including the massive projects …underway at Los Angeles International Airport, which are the latest [projects] in a line of multibillion-dollar initiatives undertaken by the Infrastructure Practice Group.

The article notes that the Group’s deep bench of more than 30 infrastructure attorneys have honed their expertise in the public-private finance space, enabling the firm to score marquee projects like the financing for an Automated People Mover (APM) train system at LAX. The APM is a $4.9 billion project that Law360 calls a substantial component of the work at LAX in which Nossaman has been instrumental.

Barney Allison, a Partner in the Group, commented that Nossaman can advise on almost every aspect of a major project, stating that its attorneys can assist with all the project phases from design and construction to long-term maintenance." 

He added that the Firm has the largest and broadest P3 practice located in the United States, and...keeps close tabs on projects all over the world.

The article also highlights the Group’s work at LAX on the $1 billion-plus Consolidated Rental Car Center (ConRAC) and the $828 million I-75 Modernization Project (Segment 3) for the Michigan Department of Transportation.
