Nossaman Managing Partner Michael Heumann and Partner Terry Leuin are quoted in today's Daily Journal. The article discusses Joan Cotkin and Terry Leuin's move to Nossaman as well as the uncertain future of the Cotkin Law Group.
Mr. Leuin is quoted in the article saying, "I think both Joan and I felt we wanted to grow the insurance practice and join a firm with a larger platform on a state and national level."
"Both [Joan and Terry] have lots of trial and appellate experience," said Mr. Heumann. "We appreciate people who have been in the courts. And we are impressed by the value of the clients they have."
He continued, "Joan has particular strength in construction litigation, land use and environmental law. But I think the biggest value they bring is their insurance coverage practice. We have had a long-standing insurance coverage practice, particularly in Northern California. This adds to our Southern California practice."
