Insurance companies are both the authors of insurance policy language and experienced professional litigants. Therefore, it is most often an uphill fight for policyholders to take on their insurers; and yet, it is the very point of insurance policies that the insurance is there to be drawn on in time of need.
Nossaman has extensive experience representing policyholders both in large and in relatively small policyholder litigation, from billion dollar coverage disputes about long term coverages involving decades, such as asbestos and environmental pollution to much more modest issues about first party and other insurance. We have tried cases which took many months of court time and have argued leading appeals, and many shorter cases.
