Los Angeles, CA (July 28, 2010) – Today, Nossaman announced that law firm Partner
John Kim was appointed to the
State Bar of California's Insolvency Committee, which is part of the Bar's
Business Law Section. The Insolvency Law Committee serves as a forum to educate members and other interested parties on recent developments and current issues related to bankruptcy law. Mr. Kim's term will formally commence in September of this year.
"John is a talented lawyer and he is well deserving of this appointment," said Allan Ickowitz, Nossamam's Co-chair of the Financial Services & Bankruptcy Practice Group. "He is an integral part of the Firm's insolvency practice."
Mr. Kim specializes in bankruptcy and creditors rights cases, business litigation, and construction defect litigation. He advises clients on creditor rights and remedies in relation to distressed companies, in and outside the context of bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Kim graduated from Loyola Law School magna cum laude with a J.D. in 2001 and earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
