Jody Rudman has more than two decades of litigation experience in both the private sector and for the Government and state.  Her expertise and experience have been concentrated mainly in healthcare, ERISA, and fraud, waste and abuse.  She co-wrote an ERISA litigation manual early in her career and continues to handle benefits matters and other ERISA issues.  She has served as a federal prosecutor for the Northern District of Texas, and an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County.  She was hand selected by the Texas Attorney General to pursue the State’s highest profile charitable trust and healthcare litigation matters, including the litigation of a landmark multi-million dollar merger of health insurance giants. She is currently actively involved in litigation in all phases, both civil and white collar, from investigations, to lawsuits and indictments, pretrial matters, jury trials, sentencings and appeals.

Jody has argued before numerous federal and state courts in ERISA, civil, and white collar criminal cases.  She has tried dozens of jury trials in the federal and state system.  She has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and appeared before the United States Supreme Court. She has also taught and guest lectured on issues ranging from health care criminal matters, to HIPAA, to pension litigation in Texas.

Described by a federal judge as “a great strategist” and “hands down the best legal writer I have ever seen,” her oral advocacy in the courtroom is matched by her written word and tireless dedication.
