Nossaman congratulates Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and LAWA CEO, Deborah Flint, on being honored at the annual National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) P3 Connect Conference in Denver, Colorado. The awards gala took place on May 15.

The LAWA Automated People Mover (APM) and Consolidated Rent-A-Car Center (ConRAC) were winners in the Outstanding Emerging Project category.

The APM project reached commercial close in April of 2018 and financial close in June of 2018. The system will include six stations and up to nine electric-powered trains, each with four cars, in simultaneous operation. It is the first APM system to be procured through an availability payment P3 delivery model.

The ConRAC project reached commercial close in October of 2018 and financial close in December of 2018. The project is the largest rental car facility in the world, and the first P3 for a ConRAC in the U.S.

Deborah Flint, Los Angeles World Airports’ CEO, was an honoree in the Excellence in Public Leadership category. Ms. Flint leads oversight of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys (VNY) general aviation airport. She leads the procurement and delivery of the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), which will provide time-guaranteed access to the terminals, new pick-up/drop-off locations, parking options and the long-awaited connection to the regional transportation system. Elements include the Automated People Mover train system, Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility, Intermodal Transportation Facilities (ITFs) and comprehensive roadway improvements.
