Nossaman Pro-bono Legislative Advocacy Contributes to Establishment of 9/11 as a National day of Service and Remembrance

04.21.2009

Washington, DC (April 21, 2009) - Today, President Barak Obama signed the Edward M. Kennedy National Service Act. The law establishes September 11 as a national day of service and remembrance. Honoring the many people impacted by 9/11 by remembering the tremendous support and outpouring of volunteers that responded to the crisis has long been the mission of non-profit organization MyGoodDeed.org.

Nossaman has been involved in this historic effort supporting and advocating volunteerism through the pro-bono work of Fred Dombo. A legislative advocate and partner in the firm, he provides public policy counsel to the non-profit. MyGoodDeed.org leaders were among a select group in attendance today to witness President Obama sign the bill into law.
