Nossaman Partner Mary Lynn Coffee Elected to Orange County Bar Foundations' Board of Directors

Orange County, CA (December 18, 2008) - Nossaman congratulates Partner Mary Lynn Coffee on her recent election to the Board of Directors of the Orange County Bar Foundation (OCBF), a nonprofit foundation of the Orange County Bar committed to providing at-risk youth and their families with education, counseling, mentoring and crime diversion program services. Ms. Coffee, along with other incoming board members, was honored at the OCBF's annual meeting and dinner held on December 3 at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach.

For 30 years, the OCBF has provided thousands of Orange County juveniles and their families with the necessary skills to deter delinquent activity, set goals, and plan for a positive and productive life. The Foundation has numerous programs including Shortstop, Stop Short of Addiction, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Reentry Therapy Services, Youth Transitional Intervention Program and Citizenship and Legal Education for Youth.

In addition to her role as Director of the OCBF, Ms. Coffee is on the Board of THINK Together ("THINK"), which is also a nonprofit organization directed at assisting at-risk kids. THINK offers after school academic intervention programs to more than 20,000 students at more than 200 school sites in Southern California. THINK offers programs that measurably improve kids test scores and class grades helping them gain admission to college.

Ms. Coffee is a member of Nossaman's Land Use and Natural Resources Practice Group and is based in Orange County. She has extensive experience in compliance with, and permitting and approvals for development projects under local, state and federal resource protection laws and has particular expertise in the development of construction and post-construction surface water quality compliance programs for existing and new real estate developments. Ms. Coffee received an undergraduate degree from Trinity University and earned a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
