Update - USDOT Withdraws Proposed Changes to the TIFIA Program

The US Department of Transportation has withdrawn its proposal for major changes to the TIFIA program. Notice of the withdrawal appeared in the Federal Register on February 25, 2009. The proposal had been made on January 21, 2009 and would have changed the rules in a number of areas, including selection criteria, interest rates and maximum credit amounts. The proposal was withdrawn in order to allow the Obama Administration time to review the program and decide what, if any, changes to propose.
