Associate | Environment & Land Use (Los Angeles or Orange County)
We are seeking a California-licensed Environment & Land Use associate with 2-5 years of experience to join either our Los Angeles or Orange County office. Candidates must be excellent writers, have sharp analytical skills and have a strong interest in environmental law. Our Environment & Land Use Group works in a variety of sectors, including renewable energy, transit and transportation, regulated utilities, housing and commercial developments and public infrastructure. We represent both public and private clients in these areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience with some or all of the following: land use and environmental due diligence; land use entitlements and environmental/resource permitting; CEQA and NEPA counseling and compliance; and defense of zoning and/or environmental approvals in state and federal court.
All qualified candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of California. The salary range for the position of 2-5 Year associate at Nossaman is $175,000 to $210,000 annually. The successful candidate's salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Annual Billable Hours Expectation: 1,850 (which includes up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work).
