California Society for Healthcare Attorneys Webinar

On June 30, 2021, Melissa Borrelli moderated two webinar sessions for the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (CSHA). In the first session, “Final Anti-Kickback and Stark Rules: Value-Based Arrangements and Beyond,” the presenters gave an overview of the anti-kickback rules and discussed value-based arrangements and coordination of care, fixing imperfect performance under the Stark Law, and “fundamental” Stark Law requirements and the impact on FCA cases. In the second session, “Provider Compliance: Information Blocking and Patient Access,” the presenters looked at the Privacy Rule, Security Rule and Transaction Code Set of the HIPAA regulations to discuss how providers can remain in compliance.
