"Long-Time Nossaman Healthcare Exchange Client Bests State Counterpart"

Sacramento Business Journal and Orange County Register

Long-time Nossaman client CaliforniaChoice has recently been favourably profiled in the Sacramento Business Journal and in The Orange County Register. Both articles discuss the climate of healthcare coverage for small employers in California, as well as the relative success and strength of the private "exchange" model. CalChoice was created in the mid-90's as the original healthcare exchange, serving as a prototype for later versions in certain states and in the "Obamacare" firmament. Partner Richard Spohn helped design, negotiate unique regulatory approval for and launch the CalChoice exchange nearly 20 years ago and remains its very active counselor. CalChoice offers to the small and mid-sized markets an employee-choice array of 7 medical HMOs and carriers (Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Health Net, Kaiser, Sharp, United and Western Health Advantage), plus several specialty plans and carriers for eyecare, dental and chiropractic/acupuncture. Choice such as this is not available to groups and employees anywhere else, including in the restricted opportunities offered by the State. Which is why CalChoice is ahead of the game.
