Patrick Harder Joins Nossaman from Global Construction Company
LOS ANGELES (February 25, 2004) - Nossaman Guthner Knox & Elliott LLP today announced the addition of Patrick D. Harder. Mr. Harder will be Of Counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office, where he will work with the Infrastructure Group. Mr. Harder joins Nossaman from Obayashi Corporation, where he was the Vice President and General Counsel for OC America Construction and its various other U.S. subsidiaries.
Mr. Harder has extensive experience in all aspects of the construction industry, including the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts and claims, both domestically and internationally. As part of his practice Mr. Harder has employed numerous project delivery methods, including design-build (and its variations), public-private partnerships and privatization. Mr. Harder has worked in a business, consulting and legal role on major public and private projects throughout the world, including transportation, water supply/treatment, energy, high-tech, and high rise building projects.
Prior to joining Obayashi Corporation, Mr. Harder worked as General Counsel and Secretary of Ray Wilson Co., a U.S. subsidiary of Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. Mr. Harder also worked as the General Counsel for the International Division of Hazama Corporation in Tokyo.
Mr. Harder received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986. Prior to attending UCLA, Mr. Harder earned a B.A. in 1983 from Loyola Marymount University.
