Nossaman Adds Noted Healthcare Lawyer, Former MEDNAX and Dignity Health Counsel, Edward Meyer to Sacramento Office
Sacramento, CA — We are pleased to announce that Ed Meyer has joined our Healthcare Group in the Sacramento office. He will serve as Of Counsel.
Ed previously served as the Assistant General Counsel-Anesthesia and Senior Regional Counsel for the Midwest Region for MEDNAX Services, Inc. In these roles, he acted as lead legal counsel for business operations in multiple states of the publicly traded national medical group. Prior to that, Ed was Senior Counsel at Dignity Health, where he acted as lead counsel for the Dignity Health Medical Foundation, a California multi-specialty clinic with approximately 60 locations and over 475 practitioners. He also served under President Ronald Reagan as a Special Assistant within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and was a Founding Partner at boutique healthcare firm, McDonald & Meyer.

Ed holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Health Lawyers Association and was the 2004 GOP Nominee for State Treasurer of North Carolina.
