Nossaman Announcement

We congratulate Anna Tang and Raja Sékaran on their new roles as co-chairs of their respective groups. Anna will serve as co-chair of the Firm’s Corporate Group along with Patrick Richard, and Raja will serve as co-chair of the Firm’s Healthcare Group along with Tom Curtis.

Anna joined Nossaman’s Los Angeles office in 2017 as a member of the Corporate Group. She is a leading corporate lawyer, highly regarded for her pragmatic commercial approach and for her capacity to work through complex and strategic legal issues and transactions. Anna represents and advises emerging and established companies across a broad range of industries as transactional and general corporate counsel with respect to a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements and negotiations and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Nossaman, Anna served as Special Counsel for Maddocks, a top 20 Australian law firm and one of the country’s oldest independent firms (founded in 1885). At Maddocks, she assisted clients with commercial matters and tax effective structures for Australian investment and activities, and advising multinational and foreign clients on Australian and international commercial and taxation issues.

Raja rejoined Nossaman’s Healthcare Group in the San Francisco office in 2017—he served as an associate for the Firm early in his career. He represents healthcare delivery systems, health plans, hospitals, a major academic medical center, a county Local Health Authority, Federally Qualified Health Centers, medical groups, medical device companies, other providers, private equity investors, trade associations and California’s private exchange for purchasing small group insurance.

Before rejoining Nossaman, Raja served in several notable positions over a twenty-year span: Vice President, Regulatory at DaVita Medical Group and Chief Legal Officer of DaVita Health Plan of California; Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at Dignity Health; and Senior Counsel for the Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
