Patrick Harder Recognized as a "California Lawyer of the Year"
Patrick Harder, Chair of Nossaman’s Infrastructure Group, was selected by Daily Journal as its California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY) in the Infrastructure category. The Daily Journal’s CLAY supplement highlighted a select group of renowned attorneys in California that have done high-profile, innovative work that will have a profound impact on the law.
Patrick was recognized for his work on the approximately $7 billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)—in particular his role in leading the commercial and financial close of the Automated People Mover (APM) and Consolidated Rental Car Center (ConRAC) projects, which were the cornerstones of a massive overhaul and modernization of the Los Angeles International Airport. Daily Journal noted that the projects are expected to improve the experience of traveling to and from Los Angeles.
Speaking of his work on the projects, Patrick said one of his key roles beyond overseeing financial and commercial close was making sure the community benefited from the project, not just after it’s completed, but during the construction by jobs and career opportunities. . . [This ensures] that there’s inclusivity in the awards of these projects…so small businesses, minority-owned businesses [and] women-owned businesses [are] all given real opportunities to get work.
Infrastructure Group Partners Geoff Yarema, Andrée Blais, Brandon Davis, Nancy Smith, Barney Allison and Brian Papernik as well as Associate Frank Liu were key contributors on the APM and ConRAC projects.
