Peggy Bennett was interviewed on Local News Live about the mechanics of processing Donald Trump and his associates for the charges they face in Georgia. She discussed how authorities in Fulton County would process Trump’s arrest “as they process all defendants in all the cases that come through the county, and this includes having their fingerprints and mugshots taken.”

Peggy added that she is interested in what Trump posts on social media, as the conditions of release that his legal team negotiated have strict guidelines regarding what he is permitted to say publicly about the charges.

Peggy also discussed Mark Meadows’ attempt to get his case switched to Federal Court, and said she does not think he will be successful in doing so. “This is a case that originated in Georgia and Fulton County…and if you read through the indictment it is very embedded in state law violations, and [the District Attorney] has every right to bring these charges in state court, and very good arguments to keep this prosecution at the state level.”
