Raja Sékaran Named a Top Healthcare Lawyer

Raja Sékaran was recognized by the Daily Journal as a “Top Healthcare” lawyer for 2020. He was noted for his work as “outside general counsel for Hill Physicians Medical Group, a network of over 4,500 physicians in Northern California” and for “leading the Nossaman team in constructing a contracting and data-protection model for the Hospital Quality Institute to perform HIPAA-compliant data analyses for hundreds of hospitals, integrating vendors and several hospital trade associations.”

Commenting on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted his practice, Raja said “We have a robust health law practice at Nossaman with a variety of different kinds of clients, so we do stay busy…but the last month and a half has really focused everyone on the immediate needs of dealing with this pandemic.” He added that “My practice is both business and regulatory so it falls squarely in the middle of facing these big problems.”

Raja also touched upon his role in Nossaman’s burgeoning US Food and Drug Administration Practice, “which aims to help clients with lifesaving technology get rapid approval for their products so they can help stop the spread of coronavirus.”
