2017 California Coastal Law Conference
Nossaman hosted its the 3rd Coastal Law Conference at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in San Diego. This in-depth seminar featured officials from the California Coastal Commission and State Lands Commission, as well as top engineering consultants and marine scientists, alongside Nossaman coastal and land use lawyers. During the seminar, panelists examined new challenges in the coastal planning process, including:
- a look ahead to the new era of the Coastal Commission;
- sea level rise and shoreline management;
- providing low cost, overnight accommodations and increasing public access to the coast;
- case studies in coastal enforcement; and
- a review of 2016-17 Coastal Commission court decisions.
