In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality of patient care by providing strategic legal counsel on a wide range of healthcare matters. Responsibilities will include representing hospitals, medical staffs, medical groups and ambulatory surgery centers in adversarial proceedings, including conducting witness interviews, drafting briefs and presenting cases at administrative hearings, arbitrations and trials; advising healthcare clients on regulatory and accreditation compliance; drafting and reviewing governing documents for hospitals, medical staffs, ambulatory surgery centers and medical groups; conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on complex healthcare law issues; and staying current on emerging healthcare laws and regulations.
We have an immediate opening in our Employment Group for an associate with 2-5 years of experience. The role may be based in our Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento or San Francisco offices. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in the project finance/public finance area acting as bond counsel, underwriter counsel (preferably on project finance transactions), lender’s counsel and/or sponsor/equity counsel with an emphasis on transportation, water/wastewater and/or public building projects.
