Nossaman is advising the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) on the $2.1 billion project, which includes design, construction, financing, operations and maintenance of a new 6-lane bridge on I-10 crossing the Calcasieu River, development of a new toll system, modification and relocation of existing roadways and demolition and removal of the existing bridge. Currently, Nossaman is assisting with its implementation.
Nossaman works closely with the City on its Convention Center Expansion and Modernization project, which reached a major milestone with its commercial close on September 30, 2025, and a groundbreaking the following day. The $2.6 billion project is anticipated to add up to 190,000 square feet of additional exhibit hall space, expand meeting room and multi-service space, and elevate the Convention Center into a global destination for conventions and events.
For generations, communities in the San Gabriel Valley have relied primarily on car travel to access jobs and higher education in Los Angeles and in the region, leading to heavy congestion on Interstates 10 and 210 – a problem worsened by the steadily growing population farther east. The success of Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority’s historic A-Line Expansion will now provide a new and alternative connection to the rest of Los Angeles County, including Long Beach and Downtown LA.
