Nossaman attorneys spoke at the 2018 California Ambulatory Surgery Association (CASA) Annual Conference which took place September 5-7, 2018 in Huntington Beach, CA. The 2018 program covered finance, human resources, and clinical and quality oversight geared toward ambulatory surgery centers in California.

Nossaman attorneys presented the Pre-Conference Program, "A Focus on Key Employment Law Issues in 2018" on September 5th. These sessions examined the latest developments in employment law and laid out strategies and best practices to effectively address them. John Kennedy started off the program in the morning with a legislative and case law update on emerging issues in employment law. Through a series of hypotheticals, George Joseph then spoke on best practices to successfully navigate the continuing labyrinth of leave and disability laws. The panel on sexual harassment prevention was led by Veronica Gray and included other guest speakers contributing their valuable insight. Veronica closed out the Pre-Conference Program with a panel discussion on wage and hour issues with Barclay Edmundson and two guest speakers.
