04.23.2019
San Diego, CA

Liz Cousins and Corey Boock spoke during the 2019 P3 Water Summit April 23-24, 2019 in San Diego, CA. The event brought together members of public agencies and industry professionals to discuss how public-private partnerships (P3s) can provide tools needed to meet water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure challenges.

Liz moderated "The State of the Today’s Market: Where the Water Hits the Ground" on April 23rd. The panel highlighted legislative, policy, financial, and other factors that influence P3s in the water market.

Corey moderated to discussions. The first was, "Start Small, Dream Big: Lessons Learned from MDOT’s P3 Program" on April 23rd. The panel examined the factors that led to the success of Michigan’s I-75 Modernization Project P3, including some of its unique features and lessons learned.  The other panel he moderated was, "Making Partnerships Work," where the panelists discussed best practices surrounding P3s.

On April 24th, Liz led "Building a Stormwater P3," an exclusive workshop for owners who would like to assess whether a stormwater P3 framework is appropriate for their project, and, if so, identify possible initial implementation steps.
