Chicago, IL

On October 2, 2024, Fred Dombo and Thomas Dover spoke during the International Liquid Terminals Association’s (ILTA) Environment, Government, Health, Safety & Security Committee Meeting.

Fred presented “2024 Election Landscape: How Will this Election Cycle Affect ILTA and Its Members?”. The outcome of the 2024 election cycle will impact the trajectory of ILTA’s policy priorities no matter which party gains control of each branch of government. To fully understand the current landscape of this electoral cycle, Fred provided a general overview of current races for the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.

Thomas and Fred also spoke jointly on the "CIRCIA Rule and Next Steps for Challenging the Rule." In April of 2024, DHS released its proposed rule for the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act (CIRCIA). During this session, Thomas and Fred discussed the proposed rule, its implications, ILTA's response and what the industry can expect in terms of next steps.

Founded in 1974, the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) is an advocate and key resource for the liquid terminal industry. With headquarters in the Washington, DC, area, ILTA advocates on behalf of the liquid terminal industry in Congress and at the federal agencies. ILTA also maintains close working relationships with other organizations that interact with the tank storage industry.
