Bulletin from the Cyber-Threat Frontlines: Are You Covered?
Carl Blumenstein was a presenter at the California Association of Health Plans’ 32nd Annual Conference in Huntington Beach, CA. He presented on the topic, "Bulletin from the Cyber-Threat Frontlines: Are You Covered?". His session discussed regulatory and compliance requirements designed to maintain the privacy and security of health information. He explored how to prevent and respond to a data breach, as hackers have become increasingly interested in the wealth of protected information accessible by the healthcare industry. Recognizing the importance of maintaining well-crafted cyber-insurance coverage and deploying that coverage when the need arises, he also reviewed the range of policy options currently available and provide strategic tips for maximizing the value of that coverage when a breach occurs.
