Lisbon, Portugal
10:30 – 11:30 a.m. UTC

Bob Adler participated in the "Corporate, Tax & Restructuring" session during CONSULEGIS’s Annual Conference on May 13, 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal. This conference provided expertise on tax issues, litigation resolution and intellectual property. More than 100 attorneys from 25 countries attended the meeting, with most of them attending this session.

During his session, Bob was interviewed by Gad Matalon, a Milan attorney and a member of the CONSULEGIS Advisory Board, pertaining to his 14 years of ongoing representation of a former Bank of America associate who was a defendant in two significant criminal cases in Italy. Both cases involved the Parmalat financial scandal, the first being in Milan and the second in Parma. Bob explained how many large banks arranged financing for Parmalat, totaling more than fourteen billion euros, with the largest being Bank of America. Following Parmalat’s insolvency, criminal actions have been filed in Italy against many bankers involved in the financing.
