ACWA’s Virtual CLE Workshop Series

On September 18, 2024, Alfred Smith joined the “General Counsel Roles and Responsibilities: The Role of the General Counsel” panel during ACWA’s Virtual CLE Workshop Series. This panel discussed the various types of general counsel roles within large and small water agencies, as well as the ethical issues associated with these roles. The panel also provided best practices and advice for how staff can best work with general counsel.

ACWA’s annual virtual workshop offers continuing legal education for water professionals and updates water leaders on the hottest water industry trends. These programs are developed with water agency directors and staff in mind, as well as agency legal staff and firms.
