Marin County Employees’ Retirement Association Board of Retirement Strategic Workshop
03.16.2016
San Rafael, CA
10:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT

On March 16, 2016, Ashley Dunning co-presented on "Disability Retirement Processing" for the Marin County Employees' Retirement Association (MCERA) Retirement Board's 2-day Strategic Workshop.  Ashley reviewed the role and processes for disability retirement applications and also presented a proposed format for the communications and the requests for information with the Medical Advisor.

The MCERA Board of Retirement manages the retirement system for the exclusive benefit of its members and sets the policy for the operation of MCERA.  Specifically, the Board considers applications for disability retirement, recommends employer and employee contribution rates on the basis of actuarial studies, controls the investment of assets and authorizes all disbursements of MCERA funds.
