Negotiation Skills
On March 11, 2021, Mary Lynn Coffee presented “Negotiation Skills” during the 2021 Women in Water (WIW) Symposium: Flow with the Change. This session was part of the Career Transitioning Track of the program that helped attendees prepare for their next position in the water industry. Mary Lynn and her co-panelists explored ways to negotiate in discussions about salary, promotion, compensatory time and other issues a water industry professional will face.
The 2021 WIW Symposium connected audiences with industry leaders and training experts who answered questions and discussed what it takes to build a rewarding career in water. This program was hosted by the Center for Water Studies at Cuyamaca College, a grant program from the California Community Colleges to scale training for the state’s water utilities.
