Managing Enhanced Risk in the Mega Project Era

Evan Caplicki, Patricia de la Peña and Christine Ryan were contributing authors for “Managing Enhanced Risk in the Mega Project Era,” a legal research digest prepared under the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Project 20-06 on “Legal Problems Arising Out of Highway Programs.” The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is the agency coordinating the research.

The publication addresses different changes in risk profiles of larger transportation projects in terms of size, project delivery methods and legislation. In addition, it examines how standard contract provisions must be modified to allocate risks, in accordance with the enhanced scope of the project.
