Brooke Marcus Wahlberg was quoted in the Bloomberg article, “Interior to Toss Trump Bird Rule, Punish Accidental Killings” (subscription required). The article examines the Interior Department’s recent decision to revoke the Trump administration’s Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) rule, which clarified that incidental take was prohibited by the MBTA.

Commenting on this development, Brooke said, “Companies have long recognized that the Biden administration would revisit Trump’s MBTA rule since the court tossed out its legal basis last year.” She closed by saying, “Most companies probably did not weaken their best management practices for avoiding bird deaths since the Trump rule took effect [as] I don’t think anyone expected [the Trump rule] to be around for long.”
