Nossaman Helps Secure Special Juvenile Immigrant Status for Two Minor Children

06.23.2021
Nossaman Announcement

Nossaman was instrumental in obtaining protection from deportation for two minor siblings who fled their homeland to protect their lives. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security granted the children Special Juvenile Immigrant Status under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. The children had witnessed a gang murder of a police officer in their home country and reported the murder to the local authorities despite the gang’s threats to kill their family. The U.S. Immigration Court has dismissed the removal actions allowing the children to seek asylum.

Nossaman is proud to provide assistance to nonprofit legal advocacy organizations as part of the firm’s continuing commitment to pro bono legal services.
