Powering Up SCE's Falcon Ridge Substation Project
In an effort to satisfy Southern California’s ever-growing need for electricity and meet demand projections, Southern California Edison (Edison) embarked on the development and construction of the Falcon Ridge Substation Project.
The Project involved the addition of a substation and miles of new 66kv Subtransmission lines spanning throughout San Bernardino County. In order to ensure the project could become a reality, meet tight construction deadlines and customer demands, Edison turned to Nossaman.
We assisted with acquiring right-of-way on numerous private properties. We were able to meet Edison’s aggressive schedule and deliver the project under budget. We fended off numerous right to take challenges, defeated precondemnation damages claims, and secured favorable rulings on significant legal issues motions. As a result of our approach and expertise, the project is now operational. Edison has enhanced reliability and its system operational flexibility and the surrounding community has safe and reliable electric service.
