Lining Up a Liquor License for an Airline Lounge at LAX

We represented a national airline in connection with the liquor licensure of its new lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

We handled all the legal work from start to finish in order to secure a liquor license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). This included form preparation, negotiations and follow up with the ABC. The client was extremely happy with our ability to secure the license in a timely manner, as premium alcohol offerings comprise a major selling point of members-only airport lounges.

The first phase of the project was completed ahead of schedule and is part of a $2.3 billion joint venture between the airline and the Los Angeles World Airport Authority (LAWA). When complete, the 30,000 square foot lounge will include an all-weather terrace with views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills where club members can enjoy premium bar drinks. The lounge also features private phone booths for quiet work and a theater. Restroom amenities include a nursing room, oversized family restrooms and eight spacious showers managed via a virtual queuing system.
