Securing a Fertility Center’s Future Through Clinical Integration

We counseled the University of Southern California on the recently announced collaboration between USC Fertility and HRC Fertility.

As legal advisor on the transaction, we provided a complicated regulatory review to ensure compliance with the complex array of state and federal regulation of this collaboration. This involved advice, counseling and negotiation on the various acquisition, management, clinical integration and collaborative arrangements necessary to accomplish the arrangement.   

As a result, USC Fertility, comprised of physicians with Keck Medicine of USC who also serve as Keck School of Medicine of USC faculty, will now provide fertility treatment at HRC Fertility in Pasadena, one of its nine locations throughout Southern California.  HRC Fertility will now be recognized as an affiliate of Keck Medicine of USC. This collaboration adds new research capabilities and expanded Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship training opportunities, which will be overseen by the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
