A Condemnation Case Study
On October 20, 2026, Matt Hansen and Tara O’Hanlon presented “A Condemnation Case Study” during the Appraisal Institute Seattle Chapter 20th Anniversary Fall Conference.
This session explored the valuation and litigation issues that arise in condemnation and eminent domain matters through a practical case study. Attendees gained insight into the appraisal methodologies, market considerations and legal principles that influence the valuation of property interests in the context of public acquisitions. The presentation also examined real-world challenges encountered by appraisers, attorneys and property owners, and provided participants with practical perspectives on navigating complex condemnation proceedings.
