On May 28, 2021, Ashley Dunning co-chaired the California Association of Public Retirement Systems’ (CALAPRS) Virtual Attorneys’ Roundtable on “Coming Out of the Pandemic: Legal Issues for Public Retirement Systems.” She also led a discussion during the Roundtable on public board meeting protocols during and after the pandemic, as well as on non-disability retirement administrative appeals and due process.

The California Association of Public Retirement Systems (CALAPRS) sponsors educational forums for sharing information and exchanging ideas among trustees and staff of California public retirement systems to enhance their ability to administer public pension plan benefits and manage investments consistent with their fiduciary responsibility.
