On July 7, 2021, John Erskine and Steve Kaufmann presented “High Seas, High Cost: HOA Action for Sound Coastal Policy” during the Educational Community for HOA Homeowners' (ECHO) Community Conversation virtual event.

During their session, John and Steve discussed recent developments in the California Coastal Commission’s interpretation of the Coastal Act and the scientific understanding of the sea level rise that combines to threaten coastal homeowners' property values. Attendees were able to learn how their property could be affected and which measures they could take in preparation.

ECHO is a nonprofit membership corporation dedicated to assisting California homeowners associations. They provide help to homeowners associations on many fronts: finances, legal issues, insurance, maintenance and management.
