Jill Jaffe, Liz Klebaner and Natalie Maples presented “Hot Topics in Real Estate and Land Use” during an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Next Group virtual event on February 8, 2022.

During their interactive session, they addressed pressing topics on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), California Coastal Act and real estate transactions.

The audience received an in depth look at how CEQA reviews and entitlements are a common component of the due diligence process for real estate transactions. Our speakers also elaborated on how title and survey reviews, as well as Phase I and zoning reviews, are big parts of the due diligence process for all kinds of transactions, especially for acquisitions and ground leasing of real property.
