SACRS Fall 2023 Conference
Allison Callaghan, Ashley Dunning and John Kennedy participated in the State Association of County Retirement Systems (SACRS) Fall 2023 Conference that took place November 7-10, 2023 in Rancho Mirage, CA.
On November 7, 2023, Ashley conducted “Ethics Training for Trustees and Staff (AB 1234).” This training session for public officials covered conflict of interest rules, public meeting and record requirements, due process requirements and other significant rules for legal compliance by public officials, with a particular focus on how these rules apply to retirements board trustees and senior staff.
Allison and John also presented “Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Local Agency Officials (AB 1661)” on November 7, 2023. This interactive training session met the requirements under AB 1661 and AB 1825 (sexual harassment prevention training to employees who perform supervisory functions) and assisted attendees in preventing and effectively responding to complaints of harassment.
